Alasdair is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and a true specialist in all areas of succession planning. He works with high net worth families on tax planning, the use of trusts, partnerships and other tax-efficient structures.
In addition to his succession planning work, Alasdair also has a wide knowledge of property law, which means that he can offer holistic and comprehensive advice on client affairs, particularly for farmers and landowners. He also delivers specialist technical advice on Land and Buildings Transaction Tax and Stamp Duty Land Tax.
When dealing with powers of attorney and other issues concerning adult incapacity, Alasdair has the experience to work sensitively and effectively in this emotive and challenging area.
Beyond his rewarding but demanding career with Anderson Strathern, Alasdair is a keen runner. He is currently working towards completing his first full marathon.
