Fiona Stephen

Fiona is a Solicitor Advocate with more than 25 years of legal experience in the preparation and presentation of cases. She has appeared in all the Scottish courts and at the Supreme Court. Fiona advises our clients on everything relating to commercial, agricultural, private and estate properties. She works closely with clients and colleagues in the commercial property and rural land and business teams, advising on the full spectrum of landlord and tenant claims. These include dilapidations, irritancy of leases, recovery of service charge and rent review. She also provides expertise on title conditions, boundary and access disputes and unauthorised occupation problems.

With a real breadth of experience, Fiona has worked on many disputed agricultural matters, appearing before the Scottish Land Court and at the Lands Tribunal for Scotland for public sector clients. She has often acted for commercial and public sector clients in Judicial Review, advising on nuisance and damage claims such as environmental claims and professional negligence.

Fiona is recognised as a leader in her field by the legal directory Legal 500 for Property Litigation and is ranked in Chambers & Partners for Real Estate Litigation [Scotland].

Away from work Fiona savours her spare time by enjoying theatre, music and the great outdoors. She is especially keen on walking in the Highlands.
