Scott is an experienced litigator and key member of our commercial litigation team. In 2023, Scott was recognised as the Legal 500 Dispute resolution Rising Star of the year.
Scott provides expert legal advice a broad spectrum of dispute resolution areas, including: commercial and corporate litigation, intellectual property disputes, defamation, competition law, contentious executry disputes, licencing, professional negligence, criminal defence, professional disciplinary and regulatory law, judicial review and public law and human rights.
Scott frequently represents clients in Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland, and in the Sheriff Appeal Court. Scott also works closely with our in-house solicitor advocates and external counsel, effectively managing cases litigated through the Court of Session. Scott also has experience litigating cases in the Competition Appeal Tribunal.
Scott has been described as “simply outstanding, both in terms of his commercial approach and his first-rate legal analysis”, and a solicitor “whose legal analysis allows him to interrogate the evidence and stay several steps ahead of the opposition in any dispute”.
