Gary Burton | Partner
Gary works with private clients and several local authorities advising on adult welfare and incapacity issues, appearing regularly at the sheriff court. He is also regularly instructed in cases arising from contentious executries and will disputes.
Gary is also accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in the regulation of professional conduct. He also works closely with in-house teams to deliver expert legal services to regulatory bodies including the General Medical Council, the General Dental Council, General Pharmaceutical Council and the General Teaching Council for Scotland.
Liam Smith | Senior Associate
Liam is a Senior Associate in our firm’s dispute resolution department. He has represented clients at hearings in Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland and regularly works on complex and high value Court of Session matters.
Liam is recognised by Legal 500 as a key lawyer in the firm’s tier 1 contentious trusts and executries team. He is regularly instructed by individuals to resolve issues which have arisen during the administration of an estate. He also has a particular expertise in Inner House trust variations.
