Douglas McLachlan, Partner at Anderson Strathern
Douglas McLachlan leads the Data & Technology Team at Anderson Strathern. He advises clients in relation to UK GDPR, freedom of information and privacy issues as well as on all aspects of Intellectual Property / Information Technology law. He has been certified by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Cyber Security. He regularly advises on IT contracts and on the protection and exploitation of intellectual property.
Accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Public Procurement Law, Douglas helps public bodies design and run successful procurement exercises. He also supports private sector tenderers who bid for these contracts.
Sharing the benefits of his extensive knowledge and experience, Douglas has acted as an online tutor for the Edinburgh University LL.M in Innovation, Technology and the Law.
Kevin Robertson, Chief Operating Officer at Acumen Cyber
Kevin Robertson, a seasoned pro with a decade of network engineering and Cyber Security expertise, serves as Acumen Cyber’s Chief Operating Officer, establishing and leading its security operations centre. He’s adept at curating industry-leading partnerships and products to offer innovative cyber security solutions.
At Cisco, he supported Qatar’s critical national infrastructure for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Kevin improved Rolls-Royce’s Cyber Security as a security architect, implementing Azure security and incident response processes. With a Royal Air Force background, he’s a sought-after professional dedicated to safeguarding critical systems. When he is not doing all things cyber security, he can be found on the golf course.
