Five of our Anderson Strathern team will be braving what are expected to be below freezing temperatures on Saturday night to join in the world’s largest ever mass ‘sleep out’ in Edinburgh’s Princes Street Gardens.

Sleep in the Park has been organised by Josh Littlejohn, co-founder of Social Bite, with the aim of eradicating homelessness in Scotland for good.

Our team will include our Managing Partner, Murray McCall, along with Partner Fiona Killen, Senior Solicitors Sophia Warriner-Gallyer and Kirsty Jamieson and Trainee Solicitor, Sarah Ahmed. They’ve been busy fundraising over these last few weeks, with cake sales, auctions, Murray giving a rousing solo performance of Frozen's 'Let It Go' and Fiona giving a formal presentation dressed in her favourite onesie! The courageous quintet will be joined by a few familiar faces from the local business community as well as some celebrities on the night with Liam Gallagher and Amy Macdonald providing entertainment and John Cleese reading selected participants a bedtime story!

All entertainment aside, the reason our staff are so committed to the sleep out is to try and raise as much money as possible to help change what is such a serious problem in Scotland. To date, the event has raised over £2 million in a bid to combat homelessness.

Leading the team is Managing Partner Murray McCall who said:

I am extremely excited (and a little terrified considering the weather forecast…) about Saturday’s sleep out. We have always supported the incredible work that Josh and Social Bite do here in Scotland to combat homelessness, so are delighted to be taking part in this worthy cause.
