Transport and logistics are key to keeping trade going and goods moving across a diverse range of areas which play a major role in the Scottish, UK and global economy. This is especially in focus right now with Brexit and what impact a deal – or no deal at all – will have.

Goods, services and people need to be moved as efficiently as possible. It’s a highly regulated area of industry, but we have a strong understanding and direct experience of these complex issues.  We can advise businesses on how to develop and grow, and how to deal with any problems that they face. We know businesses are facing a challenging time with the current Covid-19 pandemic. For advice and guidance on this, visit our dedicated Business Hub.

Our transport experts work across the range of transport infrastructure projects – including rail, maritime, aerospace and road projects.  It was our ability in these specialist areas that led to us being the first Scottish law firm to act in relation to the authorisation of a major rail project under the private bill process (Stirling-Alloa-Kincardine Railway Project).

We’re also at the heart of the road haulage business working for operators and contractors, solving all the problems that they face. We have built up a wealth of experience at public inquiries before the Traffic Commissioner and we also deal with road traffic prosecutions in the Scottish courts.  We advise LGV and PSV drivers, and their employers, on a wide range of matters.
