Gary is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in the regulation of professional conduct.  He also works closely with in-house teams to deliver expert legal services to regulatory bodies including the General Medical Council, the General Dental Council, General Pharmaceutical Council and the General Teaching Council for Scotland. He appears for and before a number of fitness to practise panels and deals with appeals and judicial review in the Court of Session.

Gary’s expertise also encompasses health and social care, with a particular focus on personal injury, professional regulation, adult incapacity and medical negligence.  He specialises in injuries at work, injuries abroad and in catastrophic medical negligence cases.

Gary also works with private clients and several local authorities advising on adult welfare and incapacity issues, appearing regularly at the sheriff court.  He is also regularly instructed in cases arising from contentious executries and will disputes.

Gary is recognised by legal directory Chambers & Partners as ‘an associate to watch’.

Alongside his challenging career, Gary finds the energy to indulge his passion for playing football and travelling with his family.
