Laura Bowen

Laura is an Associate within the Healthcare, Public and Regulatory team, having completed her traineeship at the firm in 2014. Laura has an LLM in Medical Law and Ethics from the University of Edinburgh.  Laura has experience in a range of complex medical negligence claims including birth injury, delayed diagnosis, failure to treat and fatal claims. Laura is dedicated to making a difference to the lives of those who have been affected by medical negligence.  She has assisted many individuals and families to deal with the aftermath of a catastrophic medical outcome.

Laura also has an interest in personal injury cases more broadly and undertakes a range of injury cases including accidents in the course of employment. Laura also has an interest in professional regulation practice and is instructed to present cases for the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) and the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).  Laura also regularly represents registrants at hearings before the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
