Mary Frances brings deep expertise in the public sector, planning, commercial and transport areas having worked for three large Scottish public bodies, latterly as Senior Legal Advisor.
She is used to working across many different areas of law, including litigation where she has appeared in the sheriff court in licensing cases, and in both the sheriff court and the Court of Session on planning matters. Mary Frances has also sat as legal advisor to elected members on boards relating to licensing and planning matters for two local authorities.
Mary Frances also has experience in commercial contract drafting and interpretation, data protection, the Freedom of Information regime, access to environmental information and the equalities legislation, as well as experience in leading the in-house legal support on complex projects. She has a Certificate in Project Management for Lawyers.
Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, baking and singing in a community choir. She is no stranger to a karaoke either!
