Neil Farrell

Most recently, Neil has been focussing principally on the clean energy and low carbon sectors, including onshore wind, solar and energy storage projects.

Neil currently focuses principally on the clean energy and low carbon sectors, including onshore wind, solar and energy storage projects. He’s supported developers and funds in assembling, financing and selling their project pipelines, from a real estate perspective. His other project experience includes real estate aspects of acquiring investments in capital projects and PPPs.

Neil also has sector expertise in the healthcare sector. He’s acted on over £1 billion of transactional work in this sector for institutional funds, as well as for banks and developers. His healthcare investment experience includes acquisitions, sales, development, finance and management work.

Neil is qualified to practice as a solicitor in Scotland, and in England and Wales. This helps us explain any Scots law differences when working with English solicitors and clients.

Beyond his professional schedule, Neil loves hillwalking and climbing. He’s completed the Munros – nearly 300 of Scotland’s highest mountains – and memorably has climbed Mont Blanc. In winter he’s a keen skier. He’s also represented Scotland in a number of international chess events, as well as being (non-playing) team captain of Scotland’s Olympiad chess team.
